Drawing frequent praise for the numerous contracts it has signed in recent times with Qatar, as well as its successful and consistent early deliveries, ARES Shipyard has completed the construction of all vessels in the 17-boat project initiated in 2014 to meet a need of Qatar. The news was made public on October 18 by Kerim Kalafatoğlu, Chairman and Executive Director of ARES Shipyard. The two latest boats to be constructed – a 48-metre ARES 150 HERCULES offshore patrol vessel and a 34-metre ARES 110 HERCULES fast patrol boat – departed Turkey on the night of October 19 to be delivered to their end user.

The project, the contract for which was signed on April 14, 2014 with Qatar’s Coast Guard Command, comprised the construction of the following boats:

  • Five 24-metre ARES 75 HERCULES fast patrol boats,
  • Ten 34-metre ARES 110 HERCULES fast patrol boats,
  • Two 48-metre ARES 150 HERCULES offshore patrol vessels (OPVs).

Each ARES 110 HERCULES is equipped with a 7.5-metre ARES 24 HARPOON fast intervention boat, while the ARES 150 HERCULES carries two such boats.
